FAQ

  • I’m worried about my discretion at events; how do I know that my discretion will be protected?

We would first like to affirm that you aren’t the only one at these events that takes their discretion very seriously. We often find that people believe they are the only one in a position of high status who is interested in an event like this, and, not to burst any bubbles, but that is 110% typically not the case. Lawyers, politicians, city workers, and doctors are no strangers to events like this, and it is always everyone’s intention of upholding their discretion, and in turn, yours. As for the Demons in attendance- if you don’t have faith and trust in their professionality, We encourage you to develop such.

  • What is the photography policy at Underworld events?

Photography at Underworld Events will be dictated by wrist bands that attendees can wear. A red wrist band will indicate that you do not want to be photographed at all, whereas a yellow wristband will indicate that you are open to being photographed, but only if your face is blurred/distorted in published photographs. No wrist band will indicate that you are open to being photographed. If any of the event photographers (there will typically be a maximum of two) are unsure of your consent status regarding photographs, we assure you that they will approach and ask, so long as you are not in a scene.

Guests are welcome to take photos in the side rooms, so long as only a few people are engaging in a scene, with the prior consent of everyone in the room and in frame. In the main lounge area, personal photos are strictly prohibited, and this will be stressed in the pre-event information packet that all guests will receive the week of the event. Anyone caught taking photos without consent, are subject to, but are not limited to being. . .

    - Confronted by Staff

    - Reminded of the Policy

    - Asked to delete any photos that may have been taken

    - Kept on watch for the remainder of the event

Photography will also be taken via the event photographers (you will know who they are because they’ll have DSLRs/proper cameras). These photographers will only capture people in frame who consent to being in frame (via their wristbands/verbally). You can expect these photos to be taken of scenes taking place in the side rooms, or of performances taking place on stage.

We ask that everyone involved err on the side of caution for the safety and comfort of all of our guests.

  • I want to ensure that my consent is regarded and respected by those in attendance. Will there be any barriers in place to assure that imps/Demons will be protected from consent violations?

Yes, there will be non-physical and physical barriers, inclusive of:

Imps will be provided with small consent cards to wear as a necklace/have their Demon hold onto based on the information that they provided when purchasing a ticket. All Demons in attendance will be required to read the consent cards of Imps that they’re unfamiliar with, AND ask the Imp for consent to touch them or engage with them. (to which the Imp will be expected to provide an enthusiastic yes/head nod in response to, if desirous of the contact).

Both Imps and Demons will receive an information sheet the week of the event, which will not only detail the exact location that the event will take place at, but will also review consent protocol and rules surrounding consent.

As hosts, we take consent violations very seriously. If you are made to feel unsafe in any capacity at Underworld Events, please report to Mistress June or CashVamp immediately.

Those found in violation of the consent of other guests will be confronted, and potentially barred from future events.

  • Do you have any further questions for us that you think could help clarify our events for future guests?

We’d love to hear what you have to ask us. Feel free to email us at underworldevents@protonmail.com with your submissions to our FAQ, or for any further inquiries.
